Q: When we are using MilfordSoft Data Recovery to recover lost data, why are there two scanning processes after clicking “Recover” button of “Partition Recovery” module?

A: The situation where there are two scanning processes is normal.

The first one is “Quick Scan“, looking for lost partitions that exist on the selected disk. If there is no lost partition found, MilfordSoft will perform secondary scanning.

The second scanning is performed by “Full Scan” function, which will scan all sectors of the disk one by one, in order to find all partition information and file information in the hard disk.
